Valentines Day

So due to circumstances beyond my control my bf had to be out of town for Valentines Day...actually the entire weekend.

That left me alone with the cat...Pixel is for all accounts and purposes the bf's cat/child. The only time Pixel adores me is when I am changing his litter box or feeding him breakfast...not necessarily in that order...Pixel tips the scales at 15 lbs...He turns 2 in July, so we know what he worries about most. Pixel follows the bf from room to room, plays fetch, comes when whistled for...basically acts like a perfect little angel.

Bf leaves town its another story...Oh he still adores me when I feed him, and change his litter box, but he refuses to let me sleep through the night...admittedly I have a hard time sleeping without my man next to me keeping me warm, but I do manage to log enough hours to function the next day.

Pixel takes some sort of sadistic glee in keeping me awake all night when the master is gone...He will start out sleeping on the foot of the bed acting all docile and serene...until I drift off to sleep then he will leave and go down the hallway find his toy and start batting it around on the hardwoods like Beckham playing in the 2006 World Cup.

If that doesn't get my attention he will wander down the hallway pushing the doors open...Bathroom door with the lights from the back porch streaming into my bedroom after he pushes that door open on his rounds...I will get up close them only to have him do it all over again when he thinks I am all snug back in my bed.

He will sit outside the bedroom howling plaintive MEOWS to bring me fully awake, and refuse to come to me when I call for him to try and get him to settle back on the bed and sleep.

Towards dawn he will decide that I have lain in bed far too long (4:30 a.m.if I am lucky), and will demand I rise and serve his majesty...by sitting on top of my geriatric toy poodle's kennel and waking her up, so she has to go out to go pee...I am sure my neighbors must love the view of me standing on the back porch with my hair sticking straight up, in my sad excuse for p.j.'s...guys boxers, wife beater, ratty ol flannel jammie pants, baggy t shirt from a strip club...w/e I like to have something comfy to put on when I get up in the morning.

So I spend the entire weekend worrying about him,his needs, and he walks around here with his ice blue eyes accusing me..."Where is my Human?" "What have you done with him?" "Where have you put him?"
Most definitely happy when the bf returned on Monday evening for more than one evening.

Today's Activities

So I was out for a walk enjoying the break in the weather...in between snow and rain...I think they call it a sun break...but I can't be sure since I never actually saw the sun.

I saw this woman on the opposite sidewalk cruising along in her motorized wheelchair...trotting alongside her was a Labrador who seemed quite pleased to be out and about with his mistress...I then noticed a Siamese cat about 10 ft. behind the duo leaping, and running along through peoples yards and flower beds. It became quite obvious that the cat was following the woman and dog.

I called out to the woman and asked "Excuse me miss did you know you had a cat following you?"...her reply was..."Yes, she refuses to stay at home when we go out".

I continued on my way. Stopped in to the local drugstore to pic up some useless crap, made my purchases and left. I rounded the end of the building to cut through the parking lot and head for home when I spotted them...I hadn't seen the woman in the store, but here were her two beloved pets patiently waiting for her at the back of the store...Awesome!

Day 1

So...this is what life is like in a house with crazy people?
